In a world increasingly dominated by notifications, endless feeds, and the pressure to constantly keep moving, Georgia Scarlett and Joel Spence offer a much-needed reminder to slow down and be present with the people who matter. The Queensland country artists reunite for their new collaborative single, “Honey Let’s Go,” arriving Friday, August 14.
Following their June collaboration “The Wise Folks Say,” the pair once again bring their voices together, this time for a heartfelt country-folk track centered on love, companionship, and finding your way back to yourself.
Scarlett has continued building momentum since the release of her debut album, becoming a notable emerging voice within Queensland’s country scene. Spence, meanwhile, brings more than 18 years of musical experience to the collaboration, having performed alongside established Australian acts including Daryl Braithwaite, Jon Stevens, Spiderbait, and The Angels.
Rather than leaning into grand declarations, “Honey Let’s Go” finds its emotional strength in the everyday. The song captures the quiet distance that can develop between people when life becomes overwhelming and the simple realization that sometimes the best way forward is to put everything else down and reconnect.
