Los Lobos, Mavis Staples, Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, Tift Merritt, Lukas Nelson and more join the free Golden Gate Park celebration
San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is continuing to build out its 2026 lineup, announcing another round of artists set to take over Golden Gate Park from October 2–4.
The latest additions bring even more variety to the three-day festival, with Los Lobos, Langford, Hogan & Timms, Mavis Staples, Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, Bandits On The Run, Tift Merritt, Meels, Moonalice, Anna Moss, ¿Qiensave?, and Lukas Nelson now joining the bill. More performers are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
The festival has also given fans another preview of what’s ahead through an exclusive lineup medley available through the official Hardly Strictly Bluegrass app and website.
For Marty Stuart, returning to the festival carries a particular significance. After some time away from the event, the country legend is looking forward to stepping back onto the Golden Gate Park stage, describing Hardly Strictly as a destination that has become an important part of the music world.
The newest announcement follows several rounds of lineup reveals throughout the summer. The festival initially introduced artists including AJ Lee & Blue Summit, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Hiss Golden Messenger, Kathleen Edwards, My Morning Jacket, Old Crow Medicine Show, El Khat, Tyler Ballgame, William Tyler & Yasmin Williams, and John Craigie with The Coffis Brothers.
Additional names announced since then include Aaron Lee Tasjan, Darrell Scott String Band with Rob Ickes, Dug, Mama’s Broke, Alison Krauss & Union Station F: Jerry Douglas, Kam Franklin, Ismay, Jesse Welles, Sierra Hull, and more.
Beyond the music itself, this year’s festival will carry an emotional significance for the Hardly Strictly community. Ron Thomason is set to make his final appearance at the festival, marking what organizers describe as a farewell to an artist who held a special place in the event’s history and in the legacy of founder Warren Hellman.
