Nashville alternative rock outfit Lombardy are turning up the volume with their latest single, “Bazooka,” out now through East Iris Records / Virgin Music Group. Built with the force of a runaway machine and the attitude of a band that has no interest in playing it safe, the new track delivers a high-impact dose of rock ’n’ roll while using the chaos of warfare as a metaphor for the complications of love.
“Bazooka” approaches romance from a more destructive angle, drawing parallels between the intensity of battle and the equally unpredictable territory of attraction, passion, manipulation, and deception. Heavy instrumentation and explosive imagery give the track a sense of constant forward motion, creating the feeling of something enormous charging straight ahead with no intention of slowing down.
The release arrives at an important point in Lombardy’s 2026 campaign. After spending much of the year on the road, the band is preparing for a major hometown milestone when they make their Ryman Auditorium debut on September 27, opening for Starbomb at one of Nashville’s most iconic venues.
For Lombardy, the stage has always been central to the experience. The band has developed a reputation for performances that are loud, unpredictable, and completely unwilling to follow the expected rules of rock music. That same mentality carries into their recordings, where their willingness to experiment and embrace chaos has helped them stand apart within Nashville’s crowded rock scene.
