Nashville alternative rock outfit Lombardy are taking aim at wealth inequality with their latest release, “Rotting in Versace,” out now through East Iris Records / Virgin Music Group. Driven by high-octane energy, biting humor and an unapologetically rebellious attitude, the track turns everyday frustration into a loud, confrontational statement. Lombardy set their sights on the growing divide between working people and the wealthy elite, using sharp commentary and a hard-hitting rock sound to expose the absurdities of a world where the gap between those with power and everyone else continues to widen.
The new single arrives as the band continues to build a name for itself through an increasingly busy touring schedule. Throughout 2026, Lombardy have brought their unpredictable live performances to stages across the country, recently reaching a major milestone with their debut appearance at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium, where they opened for Starbomb last month.
Beyond the stage, the band is gaining recognition across the emerging music landscape. Lombardy were recently selected for Spotify’s Fresh Finds: Forward program, a platform spotlighting rising artists pushing their sound forward and reaching new listeners. The placement adds to the momentum surrounding the Nashville group as they continue to expand their audience.
With a sound built around fearless experimentation, unrestrained performances and a willingness to embrace rock ’n’ roll’s more chaotic side, Lombardy are establishing their own identity within Nashville’s alternative scene. “Rotting in Versace” captures that spirit, pairing social criticism with a sense of humor and the kind of explosive energy that makes its message impossible to ignore. As the band moves through the remainder of 2026, its latest release offers another glimpse of a group determined to challenge expectations and make plenty of noise along the way.
