Los Angeles indie-pop duo Queen Anne are embracing a more vulnerable side of their songwriting with their latest single, “Greyhound.” Led by vocalist and songwriter Katie Silverman alongside producer and songwriter Sandy Chila, the duo blend atmospheric pop with edgy rock influences, creating music that balances catchy melodies with emotions that aren’t always easy to explain.
“Greyhound” explores the complicated feelings that can come with relationships, from feeling invisible in a crowded room to loving someone you struggle to respect. But the song doesn’t stop at heartbreak or disconnection. It also finds inspiration in something far more unexpected: the greyhound, a dog known for its incredible speed and surprisingly gentle nature. Silverman describes the track as the most vulnerable song she’s released so far. Her inspiration comes from a mix of uncomfortable relationship experiences and the strangely fascinating details of everyday life. That combination gives the song a personal, offbeat quality, finding meaning in moments that might otherwise seem insignificant.
“Greyhound” leans into driving rhythms and electric guitar, pairing Queen Anne’s emotionally honest lyrics with a sound that feels both immediate and atmospheric. The single marks the duo’s sixth release of 2026 and was produced and mixed by Silverman and Chila, with mastering by Matthew Gray. The track also premiered through God Is In The TV and is now available on Bandcamp and major streaming platforms.
Since arriving with their debut single, “Real Enough,” Queen Anne have developed a style that combines sharp storytelling, memorable hooks, and a willingness to explore the messier parts of human relationships. Their reinterpretation of David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” further showcased their creative approach, transforming the familiar classic into a darker, cinematic indie-pop experience.
Beyond music, Silverman is also known for her acting work, with appearances in New Girl, PEN15, and ABC’s High Potential, along with the feature film The Exorcists. She is also set to appear in the upcoming film Play the Edge in 2027, continuing to explore different sides of her creativity through both acting and songwriting.
Queen Anne’s growing momentum has earned them recognition on several 2026 artists-to-watch lists, including those from Earmilk, 1883, and Galore. Their music has also received radio support from KROQ Locals Only, 91X, and SOCAL SOUND. With summer tour dates planned and a new EP expected in summer 2027, the duo are continuing to build on the foundation they’ve established this year.
With “Greyhound,” Queen Anne remind us that vulnerability doesn’t always have to look the way we expect. Sometimes, it comes from confronting uncomfortable truths about the people we love, and sometimes it comes from noticing the little things that make the world strange, funny, and worth paying attention to. By bringing those ideas together, the duo deliver a track that feels personal, unconventional, and refreshingly human.
