On July 3, 2026– New York City–based singer-songwriter Sweetbreads (Melody Stolpp) has released two new singles, “Ben” and “Satisfy,” offering contrasting, but connected perspectives from her upcoming debut album Punisher of Love. While “Ben” turns a messy, on-and-off early twenties relationship into a playful indie-folk reflection on heartbreak and nostalgia, “Satisfy” looks inward, exploring self-abandonment and people-pleasing through introspective storytelling.
Together, the tracks highlight her blend of indie-folk and alt-country, balancing humor, vulnerability, and emotional depth. The release also previews a busy period ahead, including upcoming New York shows at Nublu and Sleepwalk, an East Coast tour, and continued anticipation for her Quinn Devlin–produced debut album.
“It’s my one and only unrequited love song. Looking back, it feels like a sweet little time capsule for a very rough year. Now I see it as a tribute to my younger self and to all the naive hearts who find themselves in complicated situationships.
“These songs were written during a very specific time in my life, and I love how different they feel. ‘Ben’ is sunny and a bit campy, while ‘Satisfy’ is grander and more serious. Hearing them back-to-back gives you the full scope of the Sweetbreads sound.” – Sweetbreads
