On July 8, 2026- Oakland punk band Stay Out have announced their upcoming album, Broken Homes, arriving August 7, alongside the release of its latest single, “City Lights.” Spanning 14 tracks, the album reflects on self-discovery, nostalgia, and the search for purpose, weaving together stories of hometowns, lasting friendships, and the journeys that shape who we become.
“City Lights” offers a reflective look at change, memory, and the passage of time. The track captures the bittersweet feeling of returning to familiar places that no longer feel the same, as old streets become reminders of people and moments left behind. Blending energetic punk melodies with thoughtful lyricism, the song explores the uncertainty, nostalgia, and growing pains that come with moving forward.
“City Lights was written by dreamers, for dreamers. It’s a reflection and constant reminder that the struggles along the way are part of the journey, and made you who you are today.,” says vocalist and bassist, Grant Pack.
