Cody Simpson continues his 2026 comeback with the release of his latest single, “Fluent,” out now via Range Music / BMG alongside an official music video. The track marks his third release of the year, following the momentum of his March singles “Baby Blue” and “When It Comes to Loving You.”

On “Fluent,” Simpson delivers a confident and expressive performance centered around the power of connection, communication, and understanding beyond words. The timing of the release carries a deeper meaning, as the song arrives shortly after Simpson underwent surgery for a vocal hemorrhage that required an extended period of vocal rest during his return to music.

Despite the challenges, “Fluent” highlights Simpson’s resilience and renewed creative energy, transforming a personal setback into part of a larger artistic comeback. The accompanying visual, directed by Antony Muse, brings the track’s themes to life with a striking new perspective.

Dealing with this vocal cord surgery has been a blow, but it won’t stop me dropping music. So glad I was able to put the finishing touches on Fluent, a track I’ve loved for some time. The irony of the lyrical content wasn’t lost on me either considering I’m on vocal rest, and all I’ve got right now is body language! Hah. Hope you enjoy this one.” – Cody Simpson
