LAPÊCHE are hitting the road this summer in celebration of their latest album Autotelic, out now via Tiny Engines. The band has revealed a new run of West Coast dates, with stops planned in cities including San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle. Tickets are currently available.
Alongside the tour announcement, the band has unveiled the official video for “Phantom Of Cinder,” offering a visual counterpart to one of the album’s most introspective tracks. Directed by Jacob Halpren, the video captures a dreamlike atmosphere, exploring themes of memory, identity, and the lasting impact of experiences that continue to shape us.
The track highlights LAPÊCHE’s ability to balance atmospheric shoegaze textures with the urgency of post-punk influences. Built on glowing guitars and a steady, immersive rhythm, “Phantom Of Cinder” reflects on the struggle of existing between who we were and who we are becoming.
Vocalist Krista Holly Diem explains that the song was inspired by confronting past versions of herself and the memories that remain long after certain moments have passed. Rather than focusing on forgetting, the track embraces the process of accepting the pieces of life that continue to follow us.
