South Florida artist Q Marsden has released his newest single, “i wish you were here,” offering another preview of his upcoming sophomore album, DO YOU SEE ME?, due out August 7 via Columbia Records.
Co-produced by Q, Romil Hemnani, and Jacob Olofsson, the song highlights the introspective and emotional direction of the new record. Blending elements of R&B, soul, funk, jazz, and alternative pop, “i wish you were here” continues to showcase the genre defying sound that has become Q’s signature. The release follows his earlier 2026 single, “hey there [i have a compulsive complex],” which featured a self edited music video.

Q first gained widespread attention with his Gold certified breakout single “Take Me Where Your Heart Is,” before establishing himself as one of contemporary R&B’s most creative voices with his debut album, Soul,PRESENT. Known for writing, producing, and performing much of his own music, he has built a reputation for creating deeply personal and sonically adventurous projects.
After spending the past several years reflecting on personal growth and artistic evolution, Q channels those experiences into DO YOU SEE ME?
