The first band to open the evening is Missouri’s own Mirrorcell. Formed quite recently in 2022 what started off as a solo project by front-man Nate Cell ended up turning into a band and becoming what we know now. They are on tour promoting their recent record “Long Nights In Lovescape” released in 2/20/26 via their label InVouge Records. What you get from their live performance is a leave it all out on the stage honesty. Nate Cell has raw screams with vulnerable vocals which made it beautifully chaotic. The band’s energy never let up, feeding off the crowd while creating an atmosphere that was both intimate and explosive. Each song carried an emotional weight that resonated throughout the venue, making it clear that Mirrorcell isn’t just performing their music; they’re living every lyric.
Mirrocells performance built up so much tension and adrenaline from the beginning and it left such an impact on the crowd. No wonder why this band is establishing a name for themselves in the music scene. The band gave such an atmospheric and aggressive performance that felt so immersive. Reflecting back on their set made me realize that opening bands deserve more recognition in the scene.
The second band of the night was What Lies Below from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The band was formed by brothers Andrew(Vocals) and Mike Watson(guitar/vocals). On tour promoting their new album “I Let It Consume Me” released July 10th via Theoria Records. WLB is a more progressive metalcore band and with bands always blending genres now a days I appreciate a more traditional metalcore. The band had great energy live all the essentials sick screaming, clean vocals for the chorus and filthy breakdowns.
The last band of the night was Jiluka a 4 piece visual kei band from Japan. They just released a new single “DeVils” on 2/5/26 and their “DeVils World Tour” is something special because it’s the longest they have been in the USA. I knew nothing of this band or any of the openers before coming in however I did know Jiluka was talked about. The first thing that caught my attention was definitely the outfits they stand out for sure and the audience did well in matching the esthetic. The music I would describe as gothic metal mixed with electronic I was surprised when the guitarist got the mic and just started rapping threw me off but it worked and was awesome. It is easy to see why people enjoy this band they have an amazing stage presence and they really stare at the audience almost like looking into your soul. They are definitely going to get way bigger in the near future.
