ARMNHMR and OAKS Embrace a Darker Side of Dance Music on New Single “Falling”

Los Angeles electronic duo ARMNHMR are stepping into a new creative era with “Falling,” a melodic house collaboration with Swedish singer-songwriter OAKS, released October 9 via Lost In Dreams Records. Trading some of their familiar melodic bass intensity for a more mature, club-driven atmosphere, the track signals a shift in how the duo approaches both songwriting and production.

Built around OAKS’ haunting vocals, “Falling” captures the emotional pull of a relationship that refuses to stay in the past. Moody textures give way to pounding basslines, luminous synths, and a steady dancefloor groove, creating a sound that balances late-night vulnerability with the energy of a festival-sized production.

For ARMNHMR, the collaboration represents more than a new release. After building a devoted following through emotionally charged records, more than 100 million streams, and performances at major festivals including EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Music Festival, and Tomorrowland, the duo is ready to explore a different side of its identity. “Falling” retains the emotional foundation that has defined their music while leaning into a more deliberate, refined sound.

The partnership with OAKS brings another layer of depth to the single. Known offstage as Winona Oaks, the Stockholm-based artist has established herself as a sought-after voice in electronic music, collaborating with names including The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Seven Lions, and Jason Ross. Her ability to deliver emotionally evocative performances makes her a natural fit for a track centered on the complicated space between letting go and being drawn back in.

ARMNHMR describe the collaboration as a milestone in their artistic evolution, sharing that working with an artist they had admired for years felt like a full-circle moment. They envision this new chapter as music that can resonate just as powerfully in an intimate, dark club in the early hours of the morning as it can before thousands of fans on a festival main stage.

OAKS similarly describes the song as capturing the restless feeling of moving through the world while remaining emotionally attached to someone you cannot quite escape. That tension sits at the heart of “Falling,” where the production’s forward momentum contrasts with the lingering pull of its lyrics.

Following their June release “Find A Way,” ARMNHMR continue to build toward their upcoming North American fall tour, while OAKS adds another collaboration to an already expansive catalog. Together, the artists deliver a record that explores the intersection of emotional uncertainty and dancefloor release, offering an early glimpse into a more mature direction for ARMNHMR.
