Canadian producer borne is back with a new release on NIGHTMODE, delivering a club-ready dose of bass-heavy production and infectious rhythms on his latest single, “Pressure,” released October 9.
Built around the tension between hypnotic grooves and hard-hitting drops, “Pressure” brings together pounding percussion, chant-like vocals, and dancehall-inspired influences to create a track designed for high-energy dancefloors. The production gradually draws listeners into its rhythm before unleashing a powerful low-end drop, with layered synths and melodic details adding depth to the track’s explosive atmosphere. Balancing groove with impact, borne creates a sound that feels equally suited to packed club rooms and late-night festival sets.
Originally emerging from Montreal’s underground club scene, borne has steadily developed a sound that pulls from bass music, UK garage, and modern house. His ability to move between gritty, bass-forward production and infectious, rolling rhythms has helped establish his presence within the electronic music landscape.
“Pressure” continues a promising run of releases with NIGHTMODE. His 2025 single “Go Again” surpassed 1.29 million streams, earning placements across major playlists on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Earlier in 2026, “Can I” followed with more than 500,000 streams, further expanding his reach. His music has also attracted support from prominent electronic artists, including Skrillex, Zedd, Knock2, Four Tet, Zeds Dead, Kaskade, Alison Wonderland, and Don Diablo, while Fred again.. and Chris Lake have played his tracks in their sets.
With upcoming appearances scheduled at Niteharts Festival and its official afterparty, Nocturnal Valley, Brownies & Lemonade’s No Phone Zone pop-up, and Countdown NYE 2027, borne continues building momentum across the live electronic music circuit.
Discussing the creative direction behind “Pressure,” borne explains that he wanted to make the breakdowns more playful and energetic without diminishing the impact of the drop. By carefully building anticipation while keeping the track’s biggest moment under wraps, he aimed to give listeners an experience that balances the excitement of the buildup with the surprise of the release.
With its driving rhythm, infectious vocal elements, and explosive bass production, “Pressure” adds another high-energy entry to borne’s growing catalog and reinforces his ability to create electronic music built around movement, anticipation, and impact.
