On July 14th, 2026- Camp Screamo Tour made its appearance on a Tuesday night at The Fillmore in Charlotte, North Carolina! For a Tuesday night, the crowd was huge. While most people seemed to be in their late twenty’s to early thirty’s. The crowd was thrilled for camp! Even a few kids ! So many people were taking selfies and group shots, with the coolest outfits. Especially in this heat. One of my top reasons the Fillmore is my favorite venue to shoot, the air conditioning feels so good. No other venue can beat them in this South Carolina heat.
Ally Nicholas was the perfect choice to open the Camp Screamo Tour, immediately setting the tone for the evening. As the venue gradually filled, she captivated the growing crowd with an effortlessly beautiful vocal performance that exceeded expectations. Her voice carried a unique quality that stood out from the very first song, while her graceful stage presence drew the audience into every moment.
The soaring high notes throughout her set created an almost ethereal atmosphere, making it easy to become completely immersed in the performance. At times, her sound evoked the emotional intensity of early Flyleaf, blending vulnerability with powerful melodies. One of the highlights of the set was “Fall Into,” which remains one of my favorite songs in her catalog.

When Origami Angel took the stage, the duo immediately had the entire crowd moving. Their infectious energy and upbeat tempo created an atmosphere that was impossible not to enjoy. Although it was my first time seeing or even hearing of Origami Angel, they quickly won me over with their dynamic performance and relentless energy.
It’s remarkable how just two musicians can produce a sound that feels as full and powerful as a five- or six-piece band. Ryland Heagy and Pat Doherty showcased incredible chemistry on stage, effortlessly feeding off one another’s energy while keeping the audience engaged from beginning to end.

Having been a Silverstein fan since 2005, seeing them live is always a special experience. As an elder emo, Discovering the Waterfront remains my favorite album, with “Smile in Your Sleep” holding a special place among the band’s catalog. More than two decades into their career, Silverstein continues to prove why they remain one of the defining bands of the 2000s emo and post-hardcore scene.
Shanes vocal performance was nothing short of incredible, showcasing the same passion and power that fans have come to expect throughout the band’s 20-plus years of touring. Rather than relying solely on nostalgia, Silverstein has continued to evolve their sound while staying true to the emotion and intensity that first drew fans in.
The setlist struck the perfect balance between classic fan favorites and newer material, while also highlighting some of the band’s heavier tracks. Every song fueled an electric atmosphere, with the crowd singing along at the top of their lungs and matching the band’s energy from start to finish. The connection between Silverstein and their audience was undeniable, making for an unforgettable night.

Tuesday night felt like a trip back in time, packed with nostalgia from start to finish. I’m so grateful I get to do what I love, especially when I get to experience tours like this. With a lineup this stacked, it was impossible not to have an incredible night.
Story of the Year’s signature blend of post-hardcore and pop-punk completely took over the venue. Their performance was explosive, and Dan Marsala’s vocals sounded just as powerful as they do on the albums. His energy never faded as he spent the entire set jumping across the stage, feeding off the crowd’s excitement.
The audience matched that intensity every step of the way. Fans sang every word, raised their hands in the air, packed the mosh pit, and sent crowd surfers flying over the barricade. Even those watching from the sides couldn’t help, but move along with the music.
