Aubrie Sellers Reimagines Two Attachment Theory Tracks in Intimate New Releases

Nashville singer-songwriter Aubrie Sellers is revisiting the emotional core of her latest album, Attachment Theory, with two new releases that bring listeners closer to the stories behind the music. Rather than relying on the fuller production of the original recordings, Sellers is taking a more minimal approach, allowing the songwriting, vulnerability, and complicated emotions behind each track to speak for themselves.

The first release, “Prototype (Close-Up Version),” arrived October 16, with “Delusional (Close-Up Version)” scheduled for November 6. Both songs originally appeared on Attachment Theory, released March 20, 2026, through Casual Records and Carnival Records. These reworked versions offer a fresh perspective on familiar material, creating space for listeners to connect with the songs on a more personal level.

For Sellers, the decision to revisit these tracks was about getting beneath the surface. By removing some of the cinematic production, she wanted to expose the raw feelings at the heart of the songs, particularly those surrounding love, attachment, and the complicated ways people navigate relationships. The result is a more vulnerable presentation that places the emotional weight of the lyrics front and center.

“Prototype (Close-Up Version)” explores the lasting impact of criticism and the difficult process of rebuilding your confidence when outside voices begin to shape how you see yourself. Its stripped-back approach brings greater attention to the personal struggle behind the song, making its message of self-reflection and rediscovery feel even more immediate.

The upcoming “Delusional (Close-Up Version)” takes a different emotional route, revisiting the overwhelming experience of falling deeply in love while losing touch with reality. With its haunting atmosphere and more exposed presentation, the reimagined track promises to highlight the tension between romantic idealization and the feelings that make it difficult to see a relationship clearly.

Released earlier this year, Attachment Theory showcases Sellers exploring the darker realities of modern dating, emotional dependency, and the lessons that come from navigating complicated relationships. The album pairs sharp observations with a more mature perspective, offering an unfiltered look at the ways people seek connection while trying to understand themselves.

Expanding on the album’s themes, Sellers also launched Attachment Theory: The Podcast, a companion series built around candid conversations about relationships, emotional growth, and personal experiences. The podcast extends the project’s reach beyond music, offering listeners a space to reflect on their own patterns and experiences. With these two new versions, Sellers is giving Attachment Theory another opportunity to resonate with listeners, proving that sometimes removing the layers reveals even more of what a song has to say.
