On July 10, 2026– Indie-pop artist Cade Hoppe returns with his new single “Lake Michigan,” accompanied by an official music video. The track leans into warm grooves and shimmering melodies, carrying a sense of openness and motion as Hoppe reflects on ambition, expectation, and learning to live with the detours that inevitably come with both.

At its core, “Lake Michigan” is almost like a road trip story where the destination doesn’t quite match the dream. Sometimes, he suggests, you end up somewhere like Lake Michigan instead and have to learn to sit with the idea that it might be enough.
