Opening with jittery cymbal work, eerie feedback, and a brooding bassline, “Carrion Birds On The Ark” slowly builds into an explosive wall of sound. Keziah “KZ” Staska’s impassioned vocal performance shifts between haunting melodies and desperate screams, amplifying the song’s overwhelming sense of anguish and outrage.
Lyrically, the song confronts the Catholic Church’s long history of protecting abusers rather than holding them accountable.
