On June 26, 2026- Magdalene released one of her most theatrical and confrontational singles “Sexual Relations with a Wall Street Banker” which she made to express the frustration of how the government is, but made it more into a satire to make a serious situation more infectious and catchy. The narrator turns anger and bitterness into more of as if you were watching a comedian on stage pointing fingers at what the government has been doing and making a joke out of it. This single is humorous, but you can also tell when an artist creates something like this; they are exhausted about seeing headlines on the news everyday and nothing is being done. So, Magdalene decided to take it into their own hands and create a sarcastic anthem!
““Sexual Relations with a Wall Street Banker” is a satire commentary on the 1%. The song and visual are meant to shame the Epsteins and Trumps of the world. This song ties together all the releases for this album so far to give a full scope of the bombastic punkiness tone that the project lives in. Sexual Relations with a Wall Street Banker is my comedic way at pointing my finger at the ugliness that lies under the surface of the billionaires that run America.” -Magdalene
The accompanying video, co-creative directed by Kevin Zambrano and Magdalene, pushes those ideas even further. Set in a world of animal-masked executives, late-night debauchery, jail cells, and political caricatures, the visual blurs the line between fantasy and reality. Throughout the video, Magdalene moves through a series of increasingly absurd scenes that question who holds power, who escapes accountability, and why we’re so fascinated by both.
