SNACKTIME Shares the Stage with Ms. Lauryn Hill at Newport Folk Festival

Philadelphia’s SNACKTIME continues to make waves at Newport Folk Festival, delivering a weekend full of unforgettable collaborations and standout performances. After making their festival debut last year, the band returned to Newport with a growing reputation for their energetic live shows and quickly became one of the weekend’s most talked-about acts.

The group joined Ms. Lauryn Hill during her surprise acoustic set on Friday for a powerful performance of her iconic hit “Doo Wop (That Thing),” creating one of the festival’s most memorable moments. The collaboration marked the beginning of a weekend filled with special appearances and unexpected musical pairings.

SNACKTIME’s Newport takeover continued as members of the band joined Matt Quinn of Mt. Joy onstage, with more appearances alongside Trousdale and Devon Gilfillian during the festival’s “Sea to Shining Sea” event, a celebration of music, storytelling, and community created by the Newport Festivals Foundation.

The band will close out the weekend with their own performance on the legendary Fort Stage on Sunday, July 26, before heading to Chicago for Lollapalooza. Following a massive year of touring and festival appearances, SNACKTIME’s Newport Folk Festival return further cements their rise as one of the most exciting live acts to watch.
