Waterparks have officially unveiled their highly anticipated sixth studio album, JINX, available now across streaming platforms and physical formats. The new record features appearances from Mark Hoppus of blink-182, Eric Nally of Foxy Shazam, Danny Elfman, and Dillon Francis, with special signed and colored vinyl editions also available for fans.
On JINX, Waterparks explore the uncertainty of modern life through a mix of emotional honesty, chaotic energy, and their signature genre-defying approach. The album dives into themes of identity, relationships, pressure, and the search for meaning in moments where everything feels unpredictable.
Opening track “TELL ME WHY” introduces listeners to the album’s dramatic world, combining cinematic storytelling with personal reflection. Throughout the record, the band moves between explosive hooks, introspective moments, and unpredictable sonic shifts. Tracks like “PROWLER,” “RED GUITAR,” “IF LYRICS WERE CONFIDENTIAL,” and “BETTER THAN THERAPY” highlight Waterparks’ ability to blend vulnerability with bold experimentation.
Frontman Awsten Knight describes the album as a collection of different versions of himself coming together, reflecting the many creative directions explored throughout the writing process.
“This album came from so many versions of me,” Knight shares, reflecting on the different perspectives that shaped the record.
With six albums now in their catalog, Waterparks continue to evolve while embracing the contrast that has always defined them balancing humor and heartbreak, chaos and control, and catchy melodies with deeper emotional themes.
