Where’s West? Introduces Wave to Come, A Debut Built for Movement and Connection

Los Angeles indie-rock outfit Where’s West? is stepping into a new era with the release of their debut EP, Wave to Come, out now via East Iris Records.

Rather than sitting neatly inside one genre, Where’s West? builds its sound around movement. The band pulls from the warmth and rhythm of ’70s rock while giving those influences a distinctly modern, West Coast edge. Bright melodies, propulsive grooves, and an easygoing sense of atmosphere come together in music that feels equally suited for a crowded dance floor, an open-air summer night, or the speakers at a backyard gathering.

At the center of the project is a simple idea: music should bring people together. Where’s West? approaches each song with that philosophy in mind, creating a sound that feels inviting without sacrificing its rock-and-roll identity.

The band’s story began far from major stages, taking shape in the basement laundry room of a college house. What started as an unconventional rehearsal space eventually became the foundation for a group that would move from intimate backyard performances and college shows to increasingly ambitious stages. Along the way, Where’s West? has performed at venues and events including The Troubadour and Wonderfront Festival, steadily building a reputation around its energetic live shows.

Now, with Wave to Come officially out in the world, Where’s West? is turning the page on its next chapter bringing together its love of classic rock energy, modern indie sensibilities, and an unmistakable desire to make people move, connect, and feel something.
