Enter Shikari are offering fans a fresh look at their live sound with Live From The Golden Age, a newly released video session featuring four tracks, including the first live performance of their recent single “HIGHER GROUND.” Directed by Tom Pullen, the session captures the band in a distinctive setting, with George Perks handling the audio recording and mixing.
Never ones to settle for a conventional studio performance, the British band took an unconventional approach to the project. Frontman Rou Reynolds revealed that the group filmed inside an abandoned manor in a remote location, using digital screens over the windows to create the illusion of different environments throughout the performances. The result brings a creative visual dimension to the session, reflecting the band’s willingness to experiment beyond the music itself.
The release arrives at a particularly significant moment for Enter Shikari, following the band’s recent announcement on Instagram that they will be taking an indefinite hiatus. The statement has left fans reflecting on what the future holds for the group, making this new session an opportunity to revisit their music and experience their performances in a different light.
