San Francisco Bay Area discopunk trio The Crooked Stuff have unveiled the official music video for their latest single, “Shallow Shores,” premiering exclusively with Girl at the Rock Shows. The outlet praised the track as “synth-rock perfection,” comparing its electrifying blend of melody and energy to The Faint meets Breathe Carolina, highlighting the band’s ability to fuse nostalgic influences with a modern edge.

The new single offers another taste of the band’s forthcoming album, Synthetic Signals, due out July 31, 2026, via The Unknown International. Blending the urgency of their Washington, D.C. hardcore roots with shimmering ’80s new wave textures, pulsing electronic elements, and infectious dance rhythms, The Crooked Stuff have crafted a sound they describe as discopunk and electrofunk.
